The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

In 1986, the Hong Kong government decided to establish a new type of research university focused on science and technology education and research, aiming to cultivate more talents in technological innovation and promote technological advancement in Hong Kong and the entire Asian region. In 1991, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) officially opened.
