Wuhan Zhongnan Hospital Guanggu Branch

The Guanggu Branch of Wuhan Zhongnan Hospital is the first district-owned, publicly-run Grade III-A general hospital in Wuhan’s East Lake High-tech Zone. It is jointly built by the East Lake High-tech Zone Management Committee and Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University, and is located in the core area of Huashan Ecological New Town. The hospital is planned to have 1,000 beds and a total construction area of approximately 244,000 square meters, including a medical zone and a research-and-translational medicine building. Construction of the project commenced in November 2021, and its main structural work was completed in May 2023. The hospital is scheduled to be fully completed by the end of 2024 and put into operation in the first half of 2025. Upon completion, it will serve the 1.2 million permanent residents of the East Lake High-tech Zone and extend its services to the core area of Wuhan, Ezhou, Huanggang, and Huangshi. The hospital features smart design, offering advanced services such as precise appointment scheduling and digital operating rooms, and will promote the integrated development of medicine, research, industry, and education.
